remember watching crumb, and there*s a bit where he’s showing all these photos his friend took of the suburbs, and just streets and stuff. he’s got them in a big book, and when he needs a background he just drops details from them in like lamp posts, letterboxes and stuff like that. i remember thinking that it was incredibly cool and on the ball, until i realised how easy it is for me...
